We all are familiar with the modern proverb “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” And many would agree this same idea should apply to a round of golf. Call it a Golf Maxim.
What about the maxim “Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil”?
Some believe this lesson is a reminder to stay positive. Do not consider all the dangers present on every hole.
Others interpret this as proverbially looking the other way. Play your ball and concern yourself with your game. Pay no attention to your opponents predicament. Remember golf is a game of honor!
Okay, sure!
Or is this “3 Wise Monkeys” related to the “Vegas” proverb? There is no need to repeat, report or recall any of the antics that may have occurred during a round of golf. Golf Maxim.
Play well!
