DON WORLEY CAPTURES PDGA
winter CHAMPIONSHIP

Don Worley, a brand new member of the brand new Paradise Duffers Golf Association, is the 2018-2019 Winter Tour champion. His name will be on the Watson-DeFuria Trophy for all time. The Sarasota accountant locked up the championship last week at Heron Creek. Now, how do we celebrate this event? I recommend we do it on 25 May 2019. On that date we will be at Palm Aire. It will be a shotgun start and everyone will finish together. I will have space set aside for the dinner and trophy presentation. Spouses are welcome. The food is paid for, but not the booze.

Coming in second place was Larry Wackowski. Placing third was Mike Roberts. Larry also won the Most Improved designation.

This is the first time in 29 years we are not affiliated with the Office of Public Defender. It was a grand ride! Special thanks goes to former Public Defender Elliott Metcalfe Jr., who started the league, and current Public Defender Larry Eger, a non-golfer who did not object to continuing the association for 8 years.
